The Medicine Hat Conspiracy holds that in 2003, in the small Canadian city of Medicine Hat, a secret meeting of the five major music corporations was held where the decision was made that in light of the threat posed by digital distribution and electronic music they would have to do the unthinkable. They would have to kill off rock and roll. Purely by chance and coincidence it is also the name of a kickass rock band based on the Far North Coast of NSW fronted by Shawn Durkin and Steve Savage.
