Ron was shy. He went up to Denise and asked her if she would play. She said yes. They played happily. Then they wanted a drummer. They asked Chris. He said yes but that he was a bass player. Then they played some more. One day Darren saw them play. He said that he would be happy to drum. Now he does. It is all very pleasant.

We are The Merchants; a 4 piece alternative band hailing from Melbourne's Western Suburbs. We take influences from everything and anything and infuse it all into short 3-5 minute clips of music we like to call songs.
