The MiddleFinger rose from the ashes of 'M10', a hard rock outfit with a true Melbourne sound. Two brothers Butch and Redda wanted a band they could play music they came up with. Brett like the sound of that and was definitely along for the ride. At the same time Mad's life long project 'Grimlock' was disbanding. He joined the trio for what was meant to be only a jam. The final position was a little tougher to fill. The boys had the idea of a female vocalist. They spent weeks auditioning, while communicating with Simon who was singing and playing guitar with his brothers in 'Shortfall'. Simon expressed interest in having a project where he could put down the guitar and focus on vocals. The MiddleFinger has definitely come up against more obstacles than any other band I know of. They continue to rebound stronger every time. Their attitude and commitment unwavering.
