The Mitzys are an original three-piece alternative rock band from Forster. In July 2020 guitarist and Forster local Alex Jacobs connected with Palms local drummer Dave Morris and started playing original rock music. In October, Taree bassist Ethan Webster joined the band and the three-piece outfit was established. Our primary mission over the past 4 years has been to get a strong repertoire of original songs and to record them, which we have done at Studio 27 in Taree. Our set is a mix of originals and covers. The Mitzys are a strong local NSW north coast artist whose music incorporates elements of surf rock, pop punk and indie rock, with an emphasis on contrasting volume dynamics and clean vocals.
