The Mixtape Love Affair are a complex contemporary rock band that mixes elements of punk rock, new wave melodies and intricate rock structures to form a fiercely modern sound that nods to the future while still managing to incorporate it’s roots. They have an essentially indie aesthetic that depicts a suburban backdrop against generational awareness. The band’s sound recognises the well crafted pop elements of modern rock, indie pop and classic new wave with their own distinct lyrical themes mixing intellectual observation with personal wit and insight.
