Calling from Melbourne's inner suburbs, Moon Republic is an outfit that mixes indie folk with something a little more sinister. The Band started as 3 mates smoking spliff and playing guitar in a back yard. While the line-up has changed significantly since then, you can still hear echos of that backyard simplicity in the way the songs are written, and the "too-many-beers" honesty in the lyrics. Each song has a story, often acting as a letter never written or a conversation never had. The first Republic of the Moon: Intergalactic heartbreak and cosmic delight.
