Bio history

Version 2activeAug 23, 2026, 11:50 AM
Distrosub

Two of us in the band are brothers, Harry and Jimmy Morris, and we have been in bands together since we were 16. When we started writing with Chris (who had been in a band touring the States extensively as a teenager, and had thought he was done with the turbulence that comes with the band lifestyle) we all realised that something had clicked in a way that it hadn’t before in our previous bands. “A warm and affable energy reminiscent of summer festivals, this nostalgia-heavy coalescence of shades of new wave and alternative pop carries the same mesmeric presence of a live performance that leaves you hanging off every line.” - Earmilk With a punk-informed emphasis on independent artistry; The New Twentys have spent the last year and a half developing and self-producing the project - “its 100% in house and entirely independent”. Inspired by the same classic UK punk / new wave bands that came before them - The band was born in the summer of 2020.
