Everybody loves lounging on the deck during the day, but have you ever been on the high seas after dark? Nothing but the moon, and the rhythm of the ocean to rock you gently. The Nightshift Cashier is the soundtrack to that night, and he's here to party. The brainchild of Naarm/Melbourne musician and producer Bud Wilkins, The Nightshift Cashier took on a mind of his own and started working late. The result is the soon-to-be-released, purveyor of yacht rock noir's debut single ‘Burger, Midnight’, taken from his self-titled debut EP. The tale of two star-crossed musician lovers who leave their life behind after ‘coming across’ some money. What do they do to start over? Open a burger joint of course! Mixing elements of acts like Toto, Steely Dan, Michael McDonald and Boz Skaggs through a darkened lense to create strange feelings of belonging and unease, ‘Burger, Midnight’ sees The Nightshift Cashier channel his multi-instrumental talents into something that is familiar and new at the same time, and always grooving. Those wishing to try and contact the enigmatic midnight man can do so via email:thenightshiftcashier@rnrheavenproductions.commanagement@rnrheavenproductions.comwww.thenightshiftcashier.com
