We could spend the next few hundred words trying to convince you that The Noffs are the best, most original and vital punk band to have come out of Sydney, Australia – but they’re not. So we won’t. We could also try to fool you into believing that the brothers Noff were highly skilled musicians with songs of real substance – but they’re not and they don’t. So we won’t. And finally, we could try to portray the lads as a couple of enthusiastic 20-somethings on a mission to change music and the world as we know it – but again, they ain’t. So we won’t. What we will tell you dear reader, is the truth … well, our version anyway! The Noffs are brothers Joaquin and Jurgen Noff – fact. The Noffs play a crusty blend of old school punk, infused with a little bit of rock – fact. The Noffs officially formed in March, 2013, but their musical pairing dates back to the early 1990s – fact. Joaquin used to answer to the name Shane [Pleasance] and Jurgen was formerly known as Matt [Lawrence] – fact.
