Formed on the 11th of August 2006. Met due to recommendation of friends that the combination might unravel something special. Immediately a connection worked and within a month had organised recording first EP, recorded early Feb, late March 2007. Following the finish of recording due to prior arrangements before the formation of the band Link (Lead Singer and Rhythm guitarist) took off to work on a cruise liner. 12 months later the band is back together after multiple member journey's of discovering the world. The Oakes are finally taking to stages around Melbourne and have just released the finished product of their EP 'Staring At The Sun'.
