Edit history

I perform and produce my own songs. My key instruments are guitar, keyboard and bass guitar. On occasion I have used session musicians to assist in the performance and production of my music, however for my latest release I have played all instruments including drum kit and percussion arrangements. During my music career, which started somewhere in 1989, I have been a songwriter, guitarist and collaborator in Two Bands - 'Gas Mask Culture' and 'Scarlet After'. Scarlet After's highlight was a battle of the bands award while the Gas Mask Culture highlight was a trivial festival appearance ('Splashy Fen'). Since then I have been a solo songwriter, producing my own music. My latest release features a great collaboration between myself and my brother, Justin Scholey. Gareth Hudson (Band: The Good), a mentor and professional musician, has compared the vocals in my latest release to David Bowie mixed with sounds of Jeff Buckley and the Strokes.
