The Origin Of, Forming in 2008 with the two founding members Andy Snelling and Aaran Gicquel, came together with a compromise between a love of simplicity vs a passion for complexity. Pushed to give it a name, we’ve settled our hearts on ‘Melodic Grunge’, although this fails to cover the occasional foray into the world of pop. Pulling in influences from a diverse range of acts such as Radiohead, U2, Manchester Orchestra and Brand New. Along with bands closer to home such as Eleventh He Reaches London and Kill Teen Angst.
