The P90s are: David (guitar, vox) a mighty axe-wielding cravat-wearing orangutan with a penchant for beetle nuts, caviar and whisky who holds an open ‘C’ class licence; Kelly (bass, vox) a colobus monkey capable of human speech who moonlights as an organ-grinder with a bearded human dancer called ‘Disco’; and Finn (drums) an ex-circus chimp with a heart of darkness who as acquired the taste for human liquor, vintage porn and bipedal females. This unholy triumvirate was drawn together by cynical forces and a desire to craft their frantic scratchings into an aural buzzsaw. The P90s have been described as slightly unhinged, loud and lofi, punk rock infused with 60s, country and blues sentiments. The P90s are also ageless, stateless and mostly clueless. And have quite severe spatial issues. The P90s new EP – ‘Monday’ – has hit the streets.
