Before finalising their six-piece electro-infused pop lineup, The Produsers began as a recording project between friends Matt Gerber and Charlie Swords, both of whom share vocal duties for live shows. The pair began recording songs at Gerber's Fat Pig Studio's before realising that The Produsers was destined to be more than just a recording 'project'. They set out to put together a band of like-minded musicians from some of Perth's hardest working bands, with Byron Turner (guitar) and Alex Earle (bass) of Mandalay Victory bringing their experience to The Produsers' foray, and Marty Sims (guitar, ex Anime Fire) and Daniel Tozer (drums, ex We Can Breathe In Space) rounding out the lineup.
