The Quiet Excitement, five close friends who have once again gravitated with the common aim of making original music. The band have just released their debut album "Glad to be Alive", a positively charged collection of folk, funk, reggae and blues. The album was recorded largely live in the studio capturing a passion often forgotten in todays hi tech recording process. The Band Members: Brian Burdett (Birdy) has been performing professionally as a musician since leaving school. His finely crafted songs have led him to some major gigs including opening for Neil Young at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre. His most recent long player, titled "Glad to be Alive" reflects the attitude of the band. The album is diverse and inspiring, incorporating positive funk and reggae, along with storytelling folk songs and tinges of soulful blues.
