About The Rainstanders Things began for The Rainstanders in December '05, when four friends decided to play the sort of music they wanted to hear. Brandishing an arsenal of rock weapons, facial hair and a love of gigging, the boys have set about tearing the Melbourne live scene a new one. The year is 1975. You're crammed into a sweaty corner pub engulfed by the power of a great rock band in it's prime. At gig's end you jump behind the wheel of a thumping V-8 and hit the highway, windows down... radio up. Herein lies the essence of The Rainstanders. Influenced by all the great guitar bands, this is vintage rock drenched in cool blues roots. Think Black Crowes, 70's 'Stones and early ZZ Top....and remember, be sure to pack your Aviators.
