The Rent is an Alternative Rock Band formed in Sydney in 2013. Taking influence from bands such as Modest Mouse, Queens Of The Stone Age and Radiohead, this 5 piece band has spent the last year locked away in Last Cow On Earth Studios, writing and recording a debut EP. All 5 members (James Seymour – Rhythm Guitar/Lead Vocals, Bobby Lowry – Lead Guitar, Andrew Read – Keyboard/Percussion, Quinn Luxford – Bass, Ian Dunn – Drums) have been heavily involved in the Sydney Live Music Scene for the last 5 years in a number of different bands (Mirrors In Iceland, Spider Malone, Jonno Read & The Fix, Swivelhead, Red Bee) and a lot of hype has built for the first release from this new formation. The Debut EP, which will be available from October 2013, takes its title, ‘Pick Me Up’, from a track off the EP. It was recorded and produced by the team at Last Cow On Earth and mixed by experienced Sydney mixing engineer, Russell Pilling (Frenzal Rhomb, One Dollar Short). You can hear the first
