Rider formed in Shepparton, in mid 2004 when Beksy (Drums), Clarkey (Guitar) and Brad (Vocals) accidentally started making acoustic music together. The trio had already been playing together on and off for two years before that in various bands and other projects. The three members continued to make music together for three months, even managing to score themselves a small gig. When everything was looking good for Rider, Brad moved to Melborne late 2004 and the bands life was unfortunately cut short. During the two years that followed Clarkey and Beksy formed Fairyfloss which had quite a bit of success, Beksy left Fairyfloss in 2006 and formed 'Fluorescent Shades of Yellow' while Brad played in quite a few bands of his own. Some time during this period Brad, Clarkey and Beksy started itching for a Jam to break out some of their old songs and write some new ones together. So in early 2007, it was done and the old trio got together and created some awesome music again. The Happy
