The Royal Jellies formed in 2012 and released their debut EP "The Royal Jelly Dixieland Band". They were propelled from obscurity to the bright lights of the Australian music scene playing the Port Fairy Folk Festival, White Night and St. Kilda Festival. They also recorded with ARIA award winner Clare Bowditch for her latest release "The Winter I Chose Happieness", and opened for her during an extensive tour of Australia. The Royal Jellies now present a beautifully crafted album all their own."Burrows St. Poolside" is a polished gem of modern-dapper, neo-vintage songs, full of pop hooks and earworm melodies. Produced by Marty Brown (Clare Bowditch, Art of Fighting) in the summer of 2013, this consummate eight-piece Melbourne band delivers a sound that is brash, brassy and infectious; neo-vintage, modern-dapper songs textured with horns, Hammond, banjo and stride piano.
