Named after a beautiful park in Melbourne’s north, the land of which had long been a camping ground for ceremony for the Wurundjeri People, we acknowledge the traditional owners of the land where we live and make music. Formally playing under the name ‘Dan and Amy’, 2016 saw The Royal Parks embark on an incredible recording journey after legendary indie-folk producer Noah Georgeson (Joanna Newsom, Devendra Banhart, Robin Pecknold (Fleet Foxes), HUSKY) offered to fly to Melbourne to produce and mix their debut album Suburb Home after hearing their demos. They are excited to release their first single of the album, the title track Suburb Home, a dreamy folk song featuring soaring three part-harmonies, capturing the melodies & harmonies of bands like Fleetwood Mac, The Beach Boys, Fleet Foxes and GOANNA.
