The Safety of Life at Sea is a 9 piece blues/soul band based in Central West NSW. The rhythm section takes a leaf out of the books of Stax and Motown, and the piano went for a weekend in New Orleans and never really came back. Singer and pianist Kris Schubert pens the songs for the band, Featuring a three piece horn section and the backing harmonies of Abby Smith and Sophie Jones (Smith & Jones), Get Serious is the first single from the forthcoming album, following 2017's 'Foxy's Farm'. The band is currently working out how to make the best use of this time in isolation and still collaboratively work at creating new music.
