The Seven of Ska bring you all things Reggae and Ska. Defenders of tradition, protectors of groove, rocksteady in their quest for the ultimate ska dance party, the Seven of Ska pledge to get you rockin’ in the spirit of ska. Based in Brisbane ( Meanjin) , Australia, we are a band ready for any mission to create good vibes, fill dance floors and get the energy flowing. Inspired by the Jamaican sound of great instrumental ska bands such as The Skatalites and reggae acts such as Bob Marley and the Wailers, but produced right here in Brisbane ( Meanjin ) ,The Seven of Ska continue the tradition of combining ska with other influences like soul and rock to give a new, exciting sound using a classic line up. The band started in 2019, actually with a high school performance and has developed a large repertoire of originals and arrangements of hand picked covers. With 6 albums to our name, our latest album is now releasing. Featuring Emile on vocals and with our signature horn section, we are taking ska into the future without forgetting it's glorious past.
