As the name suggests “The Shivering Timbers” songs and performances are always kinetic. Drawing upon the traditions of blues, folk, Irish traditional and country and twisting them to form a beautiful mongrel sound that is at times raging and raucous and at others lamenting and melodic. Songs of death, love, loss, drinking and revelry come to life through this four piece band of roots music missionaries. Based in Melbourne “The Shivering Timbers” create music that is distinctive and moving without losing the authenticity of the styles the band has at its roots.
