Edit history

The Shona's are a 5 piece alternative rock band from the coastal town of Port Macquarie, NSW, consisting of four 16 year olds and a 17 year old. Forming when brothers Ethan (lead guitar) and Aran (drums) moved from Sydney and the 3 local boys Liam (bass) Lachie (keys) and Billy (vocals) wanted to enter a band competition, which The Shona's placed 4th in after being together for 2 weeks. The band name was created when Lachie and Billy were sitting in class and jokingly mentioned to name it after a classmate, which then turned out to be perfect for the band. The Shona's have been together for just under 12 months and in that time have created a very large local fan-base and are more recently working on recording their work with Josh Thompson and The Thing Upstairs Studios. The Shona's also like to give back to their local community by playing at non-profit and charity events.
