The prettiest, ugliest, craziest, most sweaty and, above all, shonkiest Aussie rappers of recent, forgetful, memory. We were invited to play at the Newcastle ABC 1233AM showcase once. We threw around shonky $1 bills and tried to put them down womens shirts. The audience was vilified and we were never invited back. hehe. The Shonky Crew hails from the swamplands of Medowie, the ghettos of Raymond Terrace and the wild frontiers of Seaham (all located outside of Newcastle). Flat out ball tearing hip hoppers by night, by day the Shonky Crew keep up a high social profile with the majority of them working in very respectable, secretive employment. (So secret we cant say.) The Shonky Summer Vacation album was made back in 2004, though we didn't really publicise it much except for pass it around to friends and put it on the mp3.com.au site, where it still frequently floats around the top 10 of the hip hop charts. (Going strong since 2004, who would have thunk it?). New stuff? The Shonk
