The Silent World are an instrumental quintet from Perth, Western Australia. Inspired by the organic soundscapes of Do Make Say Think and the jarring menace of Slint, the band's sound has evolved considerably over its brief history, marked by the release of their debut EP An Eye for an Ear in late 2010 and a number of subsequent memorable gigs and supports. After a year of hiatus, the band kicks off 2015 with a brand new self-titled EP showcasing fresh sounds, greater maturity with the classic driving post rock sound of The Silent World.
