The Simian Line are a 5 piece alternative rock outfit from Perth in Western Australia. They originally formed in early 2004, brewed from the ashes of Zeta Theory and One Fine Day before undergoing a series of lineup and stylistic changes. Over the years, the band has come a long way, both in their sound and song writing as well as in their active stage performance. They have been gigging regularly around Perth and have supported nationally renowned acts including The Butterfly Effect, Sunk Loto and Eskimo Joe as well as playing The Big Day Out, The Rockathon for Cancer and recently the WAMi Spectacular with Gyroscope and Snowman. They have appeared on multiple compilation cds including Kiss My WAMi 2005, Left of Centre and S.L.A.M. The Simian line are set to release their next EP mid 2006 through MGM, which will be followed by their debut interstate tour.
