Formed in an act of rebellion at their local Illawarra high school to stand out and be noticed by playing at loud volumes with energy and angst, The Skirts have gone through a few line up changes over the years originally a 3 piece but settling into their rhythm with todays current line up. Still with the three original members, Maclay Heriot, Ty Fumini and Ben Davies, and now with resident bass player James Clark now a fully bonafied skirt! The band is heavily influenced and raised on a good dosage of Rock and Blues music, such as The Rolling Stones, AC/DC and this has moulded them into crafting there own rock style. It has given them the opportunity to play at a number of venues in there local area of Wollongong’s Northern Suburbs, Played along side bands such as The Radiators and The Shaggers, perform line ups with the likes of Gail Page, Alen Barns, Jeremy Edwards, Zolton John Budai.
