The Sonic Avengers is a collaboration between myself (shane on guitar and vocal) and my best buddy Steve Gillin on bass. We believe in synergy: that the sum of the whole is greater than that of it's combined parts, so for us a simple three piece format is all we need to rock the house. We have about 6 original songs plus a whole bunch of covers by artists such as Neil Young, U-2, JJ Cale and Van Morrison, the music we grew up with, and that we still treasure to this day. But having said that, we try and interpret each piece in a fresh and contemporary way, bringing something of ourselves to the piece whilst respecting the original version. Our original songs are mostly inspired by real life experiences so we deliver them with the same passion we felt at the time it happened.
