Joshua "Spades" Sparks is a solo bedroom composer from Newcastle, Australia. Apart from performing for a few weddings, Spades has remained very low-key and inactive from the live music scene for some years and has focused solely on collaborating with people online via email from Wales, USA, Netherlands and Mexico to experiment with all genres of music while finding his voice as a solo artist on the side. The sound of 'Spades' usually gravitate towards the "Wall Of Sound" production with the use of low tuned 8 String Guitars, various symphonic and electronic elements, genre hopping and even some satire thrown in as a reminder not to take himself too seriously. With roots in rock and metal, Spades has branched himself out into the realms of jazz, classical, pop, electronic, Latin, trip-hop and avant-garde to name a few and only seeks to reach for more. In December 2015, he returns with his third solo album 'The Rabbit Hole' which features ten new tracks covering a range of styles

Singer/Songwriters- folk roots I picked up the guitar a few years ago and started learning by writing a few simple tunes..i like to write about life!! and quite frankly i find writing a great therapy!! Early last year 06, i emerged from my haven in the bush, and went about playing a few gigs. This is where i met the talented Mr Mic Ahearne, who was working bar at a pub i played. Well, actually i had to borrow his guitar for my first gig there..don't ask.. i can be a bit of a sad sack. (Mick started playing at the age of nine and has been the guitarist and singer in many a band from 1973 including,The Harcourt Valley Band CD available 'In The Pocket' by Mick Ahearne & The Harcourt Valley Band , and a ten year stint with pal Brodrick Smith) We are currently working on a album at Happy Valley Recording Studio in Bendigo....which we think will be called 'free at last' let us know what you think!! enjoy x nat
