The Specks
A boy and a girl, making music together while seven thousand miles apart. Ben and Keira began writing together while they grew up in Adelaide; Keira is now studying in the Middle East, and Ben has spent the year in rural Mount Gambier. Their music tells fragments of their story, both together and apart, and shows that creativity is not limited by distance, only by imagination.
The Specks were formed in 2013 they have competed in 3 of their schools battle of the bands and had success pulling out a win in the intermediate section of 2013, runners up of the 2014 Advanced section as well as winners of the advanced section and overall winners in 2015. The Specks consists of brothers Jeroen Speckmann (Drums/Vocals) Willem Speckmann (Guitar) and Jackson Wiebe (Bass/Vocals). They dedicate their efforts to produce a fusion style of their own and bring through their own sounds while experimenting with different instruments and objects that can be used to create sound and texture.
