The Statics first formed in early mid 2006 in the living rooms of inner western Sydney. First in the form of Samuel and Patrick, they were strictly limited to covering "Why don't we do it in the road" with neither knowing how to reasonably play or sing. Then, forced to follow through with blatant lies of having a real band, recruited Chi and realised they could write songs together. They gave limited appearances throughout Sydney before Mark Piccles approached at one of their shows and said he could play a mysterious instrument called the bass. Rubi later joined as a member playing organ/hype man. We recently made the finals of the Hopetoun homebake incentive and are waiting for everyone else to catch on.
