The Stinky Room was originally a fictional band created by close mates Bruiser, Wolfdog, Bluey and Hitachi Hiroshima. Several years later the 2020 Victorian restrictions caused the group to collaborate for a one-off track to express how they felt about the pandemic. Their brief for the song - 'The Greatest Hip-Hop group in the world has reformed to make a musical statement about our current times!'. My own story - I’m a guitar teacher within schools in the Macedon Ranges and having found myself with extra time to nourish my creativity, 'Into the Stink' was made in collaboration with a musical friend living in Wodonga. It’s a bit madcap, a bit fun and a bit serious all in one. A musical snapshot of 2020. MC Dan Andrews even gets a verse (an excerpt from the public domain).
