The Strychnine Cowboys hit a new stride in 2012 with the addition of Ryan Goodsell and Carl Anthonisz. Ryan's loosey-goosey finger style bass and Carl's electro-sensibilities were the perfect complement to Michael's waterfall of death drums and Reuben's fists of ham. It was all there, the sound, rock and roll in it's purest form, held at the wildest brink of disaster. By the beginning of 2013, the Strychnine Cowboys felt they knew each other, felt they were ready. Not wanting to mess around with demos, or half finished sounds, they dove headdlong into Poon's Head studios to lay down just two songs. But they laid them down right, so there would be no need dig them up again. The result is a fully realised vision of the Strychnine Cowboys' sound. One sexy one, one angry one. Frustration and desperation. Paired on either side of 7" 45 this is the manifesto, the statement of intention, the shape of trash to come.
