Forming in 2003 after Luke and Leigh met by chance while studying, The Styles enjoyed immediate success playing at the first Tasmanian Falls Festival at Marion Bay the same year. The band spent the following years honing their skills and playing wherever and whenever they could. This earned them a reputation as one of Tasmania's premier (hardest working) live acts, always leaving audiences wanting more. During this time and leading up to a move to Melbourne in 2006 The Styles supported and played alongside bands such as Dallas Crane, The Drones, Mach Pelican, The Spazzys, Even, Mustang and 28 Days. All this along with a second appearance at The Falls in 2005 meant The Styles had become a rock machine pumping out great tunes and good times. After a short 18 months in Melbourne; one member made the decision to relocated back to Tasmania, due to family commitments. This forced the band into hibernation, only to resurface in 2012 to a sold out home crowd that reignited one of the apple
