Fresh from a packed tour of south west WA and two stunning shows at Nannup Music Festival (2014), one of Perth's tightest live bands returns with Race Against Time, an album of hard-edged beauty built around classic song writing, tumbling grooves and instrumental artistry. After independently releasing two EPs that gained national airplay, UK award recognition and a WAM Song of the Year nomination, Tourist hit the studio in 2012 with acclaimed WA producer James Newhouse to put the finishing touches on their debut album. The Tourist was born in late 2009, abandoned by its mother on the side of a Sydney highway and adopted by Dave and Dan, who stumbled upon it in the rain the next morning. Having fostered maternal ambitions for years, they nurtured it and loved it, watched it burp and grow and invited Adam to help look after it. The Tourist likes indie-folk music, it's inspired by Andrew Bird and Grizzly Bear and The Beatles. We hope you like him.
