Edit history

The Underclass is Jamie Hynes, Matt Sullivan, Danny Sellars, Benji Drummond and Michael Inglis from Perth, Western Australia. Original members Jamie (vocals), Matt (lead guitar) and Danny (guitar) began playing around Perth as Carnation (named after the song by The Jam.) In early 2005 Michael joined as bass guitarist, and when Benji joined at the middle of 2005 the band changed its name to 'The Underclass'. Influenced by bands such as Primal Scream, the Stone Roses and Kasabian, The Underclass blend all-out rock with electronic and experimental sounds.
