Undersided have been playing together for about 3 years or so now and have just begun to unleash their songs onto society. Being a multi-skilled bunch they all do their bit writing riffs and lyrics and even occasionally swapping instruments which makes for a fun live performance.

School friends Baz and Trix began performing together in 2001 in order to play the punk rock music they both loved. Dirty punk music was the order of the day as the then young lads cut their teeth in numerous dimly lit venues throughout Sydney. Come 2004, Baz and Trix sought to expand their music beyond punks limitations whilst still maintaining its passion. Drawing inspiration from the sounds of new wave bands such as Echo & The Bunnymen, Joy Division and XTC, whilst embracing the rich musical heritage of The Stooges, Radio Birdman and the New York Dolls, allowed the boys to develop a more expressive form of song-writing. Baz developed his sharp political lyrics of paranoia and self-deception, whilst Trix created a more surreal, narrative, style. The Undersided was formed! The boys enlisted the services of experienced hitter Mitch to drive the new material, and Trix roped his brother James into playing bass for the band (the second time he climbed a stage was with The Undersided).
