The Unknown Three has been about since 2002 and is a project started off by Lee Thompson. All three members are guitarists and love riffing and jamming whenever they get a chance. Separated by three borders, the three keep in musical contact by e-mail and phone. Riff ideas are shared and songs are created using home recording systems...but dont get them wrong, they are all about doing it LIVE! All three were members of a blossuming band from around 1998 called HourGlass which was based in Ballarat and won several battle of the bands competitions. One which gave them the chance to play with such acts like Regurgitator, Custard and Eskimo Joe. All went south when the drummer publicly quit during a gig...hence the drummerless line-up of The Unknown Three now. Currently all three members work full-time jobs ranging from teacher to environmental scientist, but still write, record and jam music at every opportunity.
