The Vanity Cure formed from a chance meeting in an all night wine bar when two long time friends friends Mark and Lee- Michael first met Tamara- Marie who was reading a script drinking red wine alone lamenting the possibility of yet another role in an art house film as a young tied up kidnapped depressed house wife. They had much in common not to mention a communal love of mixed gender bands. They started writing songs immediately but soon realised they would need to secure the services of a "gun for hire" an "ace" another prong to the already awesome band they had dreamed of for a reasonably large portion of their short lives!! Enter the man mountain Jake who would swoon them with his guitar mastery song writing expertise and mesmerise them with his bottomless bag of flashy riffs. THE VANITY CURE with song titles such as; "Dull Blade" "Gotta lot of catching up to do" and "Sparks and Honey".
