Having performed together in numerous bands over the years (Illicit Eve, Double Handed, Delusions of Grandma), the Venice Whalers was born from a love of emotive songwriting and spontaneous performance. Lead vocals are shared between all band members, and while the band certainly has a defined sound, they aren’t afraid to experiment with many genres. The Venice Whalers released their debut EP 'Sturt Desert Peach' in September 2011, recorded by the one and only Matt Hills (Fire! Santa Rosa, Fire!, Wolf & Cub). It's available from thevenicewhalers.bandcamp.com for a few meagre pennies.
