The Vultures are an Australian Alt Rock band consisting of Liam Bowditch and Joe Bon MacPhail. Officially forming in 2013 in Yugambeh/Gold Coast, Australia, their musical journey began at the tail end of primary school where swapping CDs and guitar tabs quickly evolved into a full-blown sonic collaboration. Throughout the 2010’s, The Vultures frequented the stages of dive bars along Australia's East Coast, releasing two EPs and a single (later compiled as ‘Night Rock’) which earned them an Australian Independent Music Video Award and a Gold Coast Music Award nomination. In 2022 The Vultures unleashed their debut album ‘Escobar’ which they recorded between Berlin, Melbourne, Brisbane and the Gold Coast. 'Escobar' has since racked up over 170k streams, 3x Gold Coast Music Award nominations and plays on Triple J Unearthed and MTV Australia. Touring the album culminated in what was described as an ‘epic’ performance which ‘brought a smile to everyone’s faces’ at SPRINGTIME Festival.

A brutal 3-piece from Sydney, Australia, The Vultures were conceived by brothers Josh and Sam Pincock, in seditious communicaes between great grey buildings... but it was the labour of birth that ensued; a two year stretch of hell on rum, wine, sloth and feedback which fuelled an ever-evolving violent and abrasive, gut wrenching sound. Line ups and instrument swapping continued until Jan 2003 when The Vultures slopped onto the stage with the line up in sacred triangle formation. Toward the end of 2005 on the departure of bassist Amelia Reid, The Vultures took up Geoff Caesar (Blackbird, Kybershev) for the role, initiating a more resolute and powerful direction for the band. Burdened with the crippling weight of dissonant instruments, apathy, fear of terrorism, and ancient curses, The Vultures have managed a reputation as one of the heaviest and most original acts in the Sydney underground scene. A fierce adherence to the original punk ethic, will probably leave them poor
