The Warrains herald from the lower end of Victoria's Mornington Peninsula and have been playing over the past seven years largely around their home town. From time to time they venture off the Peninsula having played at Maldon Folk Festival and Mount Beauty Music Festival. The group comprises of Chris Swayn (guitar, vocals) Sophie Pound (bass, vocals) Grant Macmillan (guitar, vocals) and Brendan White (drums.) In 2010 they released their second full length album titled 'Came To Life' and have had their clips played lately on Rage and Russ Kelletts in Melbourne Tonight. The original songs on their latest album continue with the themes of life and love with kids and such but they do move into new territory, delving whole heartedly into the big question of our time, do socks actually belong with sandals? Their style can only be described as more up than down and feelgood reggae/country/folk.
