The Weathermen are an original and energetic roots/blues/folk trio from Melbournes southeast, incorporating instruments such as guitars, mandolin, double bass, harmonica, congas and tambourine to create their distinctive sound. The band has recently released an updated demo and is now organising shows at venues and music festivals throughout Victoria. The Weathermen are comprised of Sebastian Cunningham (lead vocals, harmonica, guitar), Alex Cunningham (backing vocals, guitar, percussion) and Dylan Bird (guitar, double bass, mandolin, harmonica, percussion). The band was formed in March 2005, and gained increasing recognition throughout the year. Having completed a home recording demo they secured spots at a range of venues including The Laundry (50 Johnston St. Fitzroy), a tsunami relief benefit concert in the CBD and a musicians contest at Pescare restaurant (Glen Waverley) in their first months of performing.
