Formerly known as Griffin Ford & the Variables, the House Red House Band, the Letter Openers; The Whole Wide World is a project that revels in changing constantly. Having played all over Sydney since 2018 and beginning to branch to more interstate locales recently, their test is now to stay the same long enough to record another album. The band is Jack Hawley, Matt Sitas, Griffin Ford, Lewis Mosley, Ella Mosley and Milo McLaughlin who met over the years through the sprawling Sydney scene. Though the project has an album (Dirt Music, 2019) and a single (Boys Don't Try, 2020) behind it, 2022's ‘Psychic Showdown’ precursors the bands transformation into a more playful, yet more uniform approach to rock and roll and reveals the effortless pop sensibility of the group.
