Initial critiques have described 'The Witches' as “the soundtrack to Twin Peaks” and "Crowded House on steroids". Born from the fertile Hills of Perth, Western Australia, The Witches create an aggressively beautiful and sensitively pristine indie-rock, drawing comparisons with the likes of Modest Mouse and The Police. Featuring Christopher Callan (The Panda Band - Sons of Rico ,Jon Fernandes (Odette Mercy and Her Soul Atomics), Karl Hiller (Grace Barbe) and Scott Howard (Ruby Boots) The Witches have been quietly developing their unique sound both in the studio and in the WA live scene. “Take Time”, the first nation-wide release, takes the band’s showcase to a new level, mixing elements of the macabre with an indefinable melancholy to create a quirky, yet almost deranged brand of nouveau-pop/rock. The Witches album is due for release in Feburary 2016.
