Edit history

The Frass, The frass began the journey as a quiet guitar duo (Richard Stephenson - gtrs + vocal, Jamie Bucholtz - gtrs) in early 2002. After placing 4th of a 50 band battle of bands at the grand central hotel in lithgow we decided to expand our sound. With the addition of drums, base, didgy, chinese gong and crazy between song samples, the frass put the foot down on gigs and comps. The frass entered the BLU FM unplugged competition at katoomba (sponsored by The Drum Media) and won 1st place of 23 bands. As a result we scored recording time and produced a 4 song demo. Since then the frass have played frequently at Lithgow, Sydney and Newcastle attracting large numbers and forming a huge fan base. Band influences include Tool, Inflames, Days of the new, Cog, Jeff Lang, Pink floyd and many more.
