As a kid, Jorell Villanueva was introduced to Hip Hop at such an early age with the likes of T-Bone and DC Talk. This set him on a path to gain more love for the music. AS he reached teenage years, he got more into it by finding old school artists he never got a chance to listen to, like Jurassic 5, Big L, and Pharcyde. Jorell first made the decision to pursue Hip Hop artistry when he landed in Tafe, doing a Diploma of Music in 2012. Since then, he has adopted the name TheFunkyKryptonian, as a play on his name, seeing as he was named after Superman's farther, Jor-El. Since then, he has been continuing to produce and rap on his own songs.
