Early 2006 found Brisbane-based rock band Theory of Value as 3-piece line up, after having previously performed numerous shows as a 4-piece. The change immediately saw Beau, Ross and Mark motivated to work on new material and outlet their individual style, characterised by flowing arrangements and contagious melodies. With an over flow of material being produced, the band began planning their impact on the current music scene. Late 2006 saw Theory of Value showcasing their new material live for the first time to venues throughout Brisbane and the Gold Coast. With growing popularity and exceptional feed back from their live shows, the boys were refreshed with the knowledge that people were enjoying what they were hearing. However, it was obvious to the band that the stage presence and writing flexibility of a 4-piece was somewhat missing.
