Thom North fronts a little folk-trio called The Norths, playing around Sydney's East. The drums have holes in the skins and he plays a guitar he's borrowed from a friend of a friend. They play good venues to smallish crowds. The three-piece arrangements are wiry and lean - but in his bedroom he dreams. He thinks of horns and cellos and organs and pianos. He thinks of vibraphones, violas, choirs and mellophones to keep his songs company. This is his dream.
